Can I correct my tax return after I already filed it?

I filed my federal tax return online some time last week (form 1040A). However, I declared my scholarships as income, but someone told me that I should not have done that because the scholarships were tax free. Is there some way to correct my tax return so my scholarships are not included as income?

Tax return filed early but still has not been processed. Will this effect when I receive my rebate?

I filed my tax return on 1/31/08 and included the Injured Spouse Form 8379. My refund status still says delayed and when ever I call for information I get a different story. It has now been over 11 weeks and still no change in the refund status. Now I am concerned that even though I filed 3 months ago, my rebate will also be delayed. Anyone have any insight?

Can a tax preparer not file a tax return because you have not paid their tax prep fees?

The tax preparer will not return our tax papers to bring to another tax preparer. In turn, this tax return has not yet been filed and the tax preparer is going on a two-week vacation and will not return until the end of October. What recourse is there?

How to amend a 2007 tax return when no forms were submitted that year?

I received no income in 2007, so I didn’t file my tax return. Turns out my mom had sold my stocks/bonds that year. I thought she would have to file the sale on her tax return, but I found out 2 years later that they were mine to file. How do I go about correcting this mistake? Thanks!
Thanks for the answers. Do I use the 2007 or the 2009 1040 Form?
